The Olare Orok Trust has been set up for community benefits particularly for capacity building, alternative energy, education, health and water. The Trust is also promoting capacity building for the adjoining community areas to help them form conservancies such as Naibosho, Motoroki and Ol Kinyei. This entails training rangers and administration staff to initially work under Rob O'Meara and James Kaigill through Ol Purkel Limited. Although the idea is for these conservancies to have their own land committees, management would be centred out of OOC to obtain better economies of scale. The OOC Trust is hoping to help facilitate a larger management umbrella organisation for all the conservancies in time.
In view of sub-clan Masai politics, this may not be achievable immediately but the Trust feels that this must be the end goal.
Olare Orok Trust in partnership with its donors has initiated the out-reach programme which Grace Olochoki and Sarah Lariam are implementing.
